What Are Binaural Beats?
Binaural beats occur when you listen to two slightly different frequencies in each ear (for example, 210 Hz in the left ear and 200 Hz in the right ear).
Your brain perceives the difference (10 Hz in this case) as a rhythmic "beat," and it tends to entrain to that frequency.
🧠 Brain Waves & Binaural Beats
1. Delta Waves (0.5 – 4 Hz)
State: Deep sleep, unconscious healing, regeneration.
2. Theta Waves (4 – 8 Hz)
State: Light sleep, deep meditation, creativity, access to subconscious.
3. Alpha Waves (8 – 12 Hz)
State: Relaxed wakefulness, flow state, calm focus.
4. Beta Waves (12 – 30 Hz)
State: Alertness, problem-solving, decision-making, active thinking.
5. Gamma Waves (30 – 100 Hz, often studied at 40 Hz)
State: Peak cognitive functioning, insight, spiritual states, heightened perception.
